Default Cruise Control Question

2002 RK. Does anyone know the difference between Cruise Control Kit 77183-02 for 02-03 and 77197-04 for 04-06. I think the 02-03 has 2 sides of handlebar controls and the 04-06 has one but not sure if that would make a difference adapting it to the earlier model.
I know both are obsolete but I may be able to get my hands on the 04-06.
Thx

Hey, if that 04-06 won't work on your bike I'd be interested in purchasing it.

You might check these guys out. They've been around for a few years and seem to understand cruise controls on older Harleys.

Good tips to check the parts lists and talk to Cruisemount.

On the EG's and SG's the source of vehicle speed changed from the VSS to serial data from the ECM. That's why the CC changed for the same model years you mention. There is a harness. I'm no tech, but I know a bit.

Best to check parts and Cruisemount.

Carl
