New J&M ipod/ bluetooth controller any good?
Hey guys,
I saw that J&M is releasing a digital music, ipod, bluetooth controller. It says its suposta to work with android phones, ipods and blackberrys. It looks cool but almost looks like its just a run of the mill bluetooth adaptor that connects to the 3.5mm jack to the radio. I watched the utube video and it really didnt show much about how the interface works. Any ideas about this? I am looking for somethign good to hook my harley up to my ipod but i am not sure J&M has a winner. any thoughts?
Heres the link to the J&M site: http://www.jmcorp.com/ProductDetail....JMDM-IPBT-HDDR

I agree that it looks like it connects to the 3.5mm jack and seems they went out of the way not to tell you that. Seems kind of useless since it doesn't charge the phone. Streaming over Bluetooth is going to run that battery down quick.
Then for just a iPod its basically a $229 charger since it really only charges the iPod since you are still connecting a wire at both ends. Guess if you have a separate GPS it adds a feature.
$45 for a car dock for my android mounted to the fairing allows for MP3 and GPS through the 3.5mm jack and also charges my phone. Doesnt do Bluetooth but don't need it to. If doing MP3 the GPS will cut in for turn by turn over the radio.
