Default Road King to Electra King

I just finished my Road King to Electra King transformation. I picked up a Dead Center Fairing at AZ Bike Week. Pretty pricey but it was right there for instant gratification and free install so couldn't pass it up, plus read some positive reviews here. It rides nice at speed but I'll be putting on a little taller windshield. To me the basic black gel coat matched my Vivid Black RK just fine, for now anyway. I picked up a matching Tour Pack on Craigs List couple weeks ago. The Mrs is just REALLY loving the back rest. I think the fairing balances out the front of the bike with the back with the tour pack on. Pretty fun, like having an RK, SG and EG depending on the mood.

Gotta love the versatility of the Road King. Can be so many bikes in one.

The DC fairing "show price" was $150 off, $1595 with free install by the owner that took about 45 minutes attaching the wire harness and running the wires. There is room for me to install my RK windshield bag above the stereo. The fairing goes on the same as the RK shield except there is a key lock to prevent it from walking away and the electrical connection. Net cost on the Craigs List Tour Pack was $500 plus the cost of the quick release detach. 10 minutes from Road King to Electra King now.

Just a quick disconnect end of the black wire, virtually unnoticeable hanging by the triple tree.
