Default 18 or 19 inch wheel on 07 roadglide

Just bought an 07 RG and want to swap the 16 front wheel out for either an 18 or 19" wheel. On the rear I'm going to stay 16 just do a solid wheel. Bike currently has some horrendous spoked wheels and they've got to go haha

I'm needing to know what al is going to be needed to do the swap. I'm not new to harley just to the touring bikes came off a 2008 nightster but we go on long rides and the nightster just didn't cut it.

Thanks in advance

a 21" will make great difference not 18" or 19" but if you have money a 26" will be great.

A 21 or larger is non practical for me. We do 300+ miles a day rides and an 18 or 19 is going to be big enough to make it look better and not mess with handling. This isn't a show bike, it is daily ridden.

I have a 2007 FLTR too. I swapped out just the front wheel with an 18" Harley Agitator contrast wheel. I had to change to newer (Brembo calipers) to fit the Agitator specific rotors, a different size axle & bearings & spacers. Most of my parts came from E-bay. This was before the Agitator's came in a 19" size for the front. It was worth it! The diameter of the 18" Agitator was essentially the same as the stock 16" wheel with the same tire. There are quite a few threads on the Agitator wheel, if you like that look.

A 18 inch has a lot of very good tire choices.

As 4whlr said the best way to do the swap is to use a 25mm axle & spacers with a 18" Anarchy set-up for a 09 later bike, it's a direct swap since the lower legs are the same from 00-13. If you want to stay with your present calipers you'll have to get 13.5" rotors for a Vrod, part # 44343-01 & rotor mounting hardware.
