Question FLHRSI Handlebar Question

Hi guys,
New to the forum-can see it's a wealth of info. I have a question that I haven't found an answer to. I just brought home an '04 FLHRSI, and love it. The only thing I'm not sold on yet is the stock beach bars. A friend of mine has his stock take off mini-apes off of a street bob. Is it possible to mount these on my RK? I don't think I'd need to change out the original controls, but I'm not sure. Would it be better to go to a heritage or heritage style bar?

Thanks for any help!

A lot of handlebars will fit your bike, but you may have to change the control cables to
get all working properly. When I got my 07 RKCustom I didn't like the bar, so I rotated
them a few inches higher for a much better feel. I am not sure bars from the Dyna line
are interchangeable with Touring bikes, do to different triple clamp mounting spacing.

Thanks. I wasn't sure if they would either. My friend said I can have the bars if I want, just didn't know if anyone had successfully done the same thing. My last bike had more of a drag bar on it, which isn't the way I want to go on my RK. I'm just not used to the beach bar type of bar, it feels like it puts my wrists in a different position than I'm used to. I'm going to have to keep my eyes open to see if I can find something.

I would bring the bars home and see if they fit. It can't hurt to try them. Worse that can happen is you did a bit of work for nothing.
