Wind Splitter windshield
#11
I am 5' 10" for reference.
The factory 4" shield was horrible at speed, creating loud buffeting and a low pressure bubble that occasionally ripped my bandana off my head.
I installed the 10" smoked windshield from HD first. It was much quieter, with about 75% less buffeting, but I didn't like the look, it really ruined the sleek lines of the bike, so I took it off.
Had a 7" Windsplitter installed. It is not as quiet as the 10", but I think it reduces the buffeting by about 50-60% over the stock 4" unit. The bubble of low pressure now goes just over the top of my head, and my bandana feels secure now.
I like the looks of it compared to several aftermarket units I looked at on other people's bikes. It is not so crazy curvy and swoopy like some of them.
I am completely happy with the 7" Windsplitter. It is not installed on my bike in the photo. I'll try to shoot the bike with the Windsplitter and send it to your.
Hope that helps-

You can demo the shields at the H-D dealers so try before you buy. I would recommend you try a recurve shield also before you buy. You need to just see over the shield for it to get the air over your head. I am 6'2" and running a 9" recurve from fast aire $89 which is a great deal IMHO. I think you can also demo a recurve from long rider shields. DEMO before you buy or you will be selling a new shield for 20 bucks that didn't work for you.

6'1" here with the 7". The windsheild works perfectly, it all depends on where you sit. With my C&C seat i'm back and down which probably equates the the shield being a 10".
With the stock seat the 7" wouldn't be tall enough.
On the same token i've tried a couple different heights of the Klockwerks flare. They send the air right at my ears thanks to the bubble on the shield. I'd be deaf after a short stint on the interstate.
