Buttons will pop off.
My suggustion is get a manual. Take your time. And make sure you don't pinch any wires when reassembling.
If no manual, this can help a lot. http://www.moccsplace.com/images/harley/hbar/hbar.htm

Take off old switch housing, unscrew swiches from housing, screw swiches to new housing, make sure you don't pinch any wires, make sure you don't break the brake switch, screw housings back onto bars. Reinstall mirrors, turn signals, anything else you took off to remove switch housing.
As far as replacing switch covers, very carefully with a small precision screwdriver lift the switch tab on each side and slide it off, put on new switch cover, again carefully you don't want to break that plastic tab.

Chrome switch housings
This was part of my winter updates.
I think they look great.
The package included good directions. The directions are also available on HD's website.
The only difficult parts for me were the cruise switches. They are each under a mounting plate inside the housings. I suggest taking pictures as you take these plates out.
I did crack the blank cover next to the cruise controls, so be careful.
Good luck.

Maybe you should have been dating the girls that weren't wearing one!

Just did this to my old mans Electra. The only thing is take your time when pulling the switches out of the housing. And pay attention on how it comes apart I struggled a bit getting all the damn wires back in with the little screws that hold the bracket down. I told him I would never do it again. BUT now that I think of it, give me a six pack and some tunes I would put them on again. Good luck
