OK i purchases a set of bars and had them installed on my bike.My guy charged me 500.00 to do the install (internal wiring). The bars are defective.Theres a 1/2 inch gap from my master cylinder(1in bar) to where the bars step up to 1 1/4 so it looks like ***.Theres no gap on the other side.I called the company and they said that due to a change in the manufacture process some bars were made wrong and immediately offered to send me a new set of bars.Which was great my problem is that my guy is not going to install them for free.So i asked them what about the 500.00 for the install and the owner is suppose to call me to discuss this matter. Is it wrong of me to ask them to pay that?

Looks like he should've spotted the problem and told you before he installed them!

Just saying........it appears that he is now part of the problem.

You can always ask, but highly unlikely they will help with labor. They are responsible for putting out a quality piece. Stuff happens in manufacturing, etc. They are willing to make 'their piece' right. You will most likely be stuck with the labor. I am not saying it is right, but that is standard operating procedure with most manufacturers. Keep us posted.

You really were not able to tell there was a problem until you put the master cylinder and grip on.(tbw)Witch you would not do until after you wired and installed them.

If you dont get any satisfactory answers make sure without threatening that they be aware that you will make it public knowledge as to there customer service.
Also as you talk to people get their names and their job title.Did they in anyway try to contact you regarding the issue before the chance of you putting them on?...
Did you buy direct or thru a vender?
Personally id be truly pissed...$500+ is nothin to sneeze at...
Good Luck...Please keep us posted....

They did not try to contact me first and they knew exactly what i was talking about when i called. So they new the problem existed.I bought directly from them.I kinda feel bad because they are a new company but at the same time thats alot of money for me to eat when Ive done nothen wrong.

I understand that the blemish my be covered by other things, but if I was installing it I wouldn't have installed them especially if it didn't match the other side. I would've at very least made you aware before installing.
