Crank in transit from DH. Should be thur or Fri. Then its *** holes and elbows. Rocker arms in transit too. Prolly take me a week assembling the engine in the shop after hours then install and I got a few days off the books comin to me. Will have her broke in in 2 days. Then have about 2 months to work out any bugs on the bike before I take it to Montana. Around 4k round trip and I might swing up to canada to see another friend.

I bought a 107 kit prior to inspecting the crank runout. It turns out it was a little on the high side but well within HD spec. I made the decision to send the crank to DH for true, plug, weld, balance and their rods. Over kill for a mild 107". In hindsight I wish I did the 117". I've personally seen cranks go out with stock 96" and hot 103".

I did my HQs 107 in Jan 09 - no crank work - 37k miles later not an issue with anything - if it goes (which I doubt) doing a HQs 120 - chicken little syndrome comes from those without - BTW this was the same chit I heard when I did my HQs 103 on 07 SG which is still running strong - way over 40k miles
