Default Removing the luggage rack on tour pak

Has anyone removed the luggage rack on the tour pack. Does anyone make a chrome plug that covers the holes?

you'd probably end up using dome-capped screws to fill the holes.

chrome, stainless, maybe black- you could get black plastic.

The best look is to do what I did cover them with the Harley spear trim kit. They look awsome and arent that much, really sharp if your not planning on puttin the rack back on! prt no.53887-05 pluged the holes with some black plugs from lowes, didnt really like it!

Assuming its on your 13 glide, a trade with someone wanting a rack would be best....
But removing it and replacing the rack with some type of nuts or similar isn't going to look that great....I'd live with the rack.

Is it possible to get just the lid? Maybe you could order a new lid?

Rubber plugs at Lowes. $3-4 bux.
IMO, they look mucho better/cleaner w/out the rack, which resembles an antenna to me.
