Default Boom Audio

Just installed the Harley Boom audio speaker system on the 2005 RK. Sound quality good for street cruising and volume loudness not bad for what it is.
For all the do it yourselfers direction's was worst then bad just do a search on the forum for routing and hookup helps to clarify. it's time consuming but not worth having a shop and/or dealer do the installed.

I had the boom on my 12 FLHR for almost a year... speakers cut in and out after the first month or two, also couldn't really hear it on the highway. Just installed a set of cyclesounds series 3 speakers and amp, wow what a difference and they were the same price as the boom.

I've seen and heard just the opposite, know a couple fellow riders that haven't had any problems 2 years running. I think a good quality installation makes all the difference. The systems not going to win a volume contest but fulfills the need for music with a nice stock look.

I've had the Boom Setup for several years and while they don't deliver "symphonic sound" they sure sound a whole bunch better than the O.E.M. and the installation ( including the Bass Port ) was a breeze.

Agree, I have them and it has been 3 years sound great compared to stock. However I added the hogtunes tweeter pods and I hear it just fine at 80MPH with a Thunder Header and cams.

I think the handlebar kits lack the same quality that they put into their fairing mounted stuff.. on another note just ordered the Rockbox head unit from cycle sounds, back ordered for about a month due to demand, I will post a review as soon as I get it and get it installed
