I was really wanting to put wheels on my bike this year but with everything else I don't think its going to happen.

I need new tires soon and the dealer has a set of black chrome stock SG wheels I can get for $400. Thinking I will do this as at least it will look better and should be able to get most my money back if I ever go with different wheels.

Just looking for pics if you got them and also what you think of black chrome on my Merlot SG.

 

I love black chrome. Just never really get to see it.

One guy on this forum had his wheels black chromed by a guy on this forum who is a powder coater and the wheels turned out to be a funky color of purple.
Needless to say, the purchaser was not too happy.

But I really do dig it. It is a happy medium between the bright and shiney and dull.
Just nice. Please post some pics if you go that way.

 

The color on these look good so no issue there.

I leave Monday for a 4 day 2k miles trip so going to have to do something when I get back. Parts guy is wanting to move these to do regular chrome so I think he will deal with them.

I would like to see pics of what you mean by black and chrome. Stock sg wheels bows are black and polished alum and you can get that alum pretty shiny

 

Black Chrome not black and chrome. Black chrome is like a tinted chrome color.

 

Is black chrome going to look that much different than just the black wheel?
