Default White walls and mag wheels question

I love the looks of my RKC with the ww's and spokes but I do a lot of riding and have several long trips planned this year. I worried last year on a 2 week Colorado trip about having a flat tire, possibly in the middle of nowhere. Anyway I am thinking If I went with a mag wheel I would at least have a chance of fixing a flat (I keep a "fix it" kit with my VTX that has mags). I hope I'm not jinxing myself here with talk of flat tires> My question is , what mag wheel would look good with a white wall tire? Anybody have pics..

There was a post on this before, you might want to try a search. They had one pic of a bike with mags and white walls. I didn't care for it.

You will rarely get a flat on the front. For whatever reason, most of them happen on the rear. I rode have ridden for 64k miles on my RKC with spokes. I have had one flat in the rear and had the rear spokes loosen badly twice. I picked up a 1200 Custom wheel to put on the back of my bike to alleviate anymore problems. I'm gonna keep my stock front.

Yeah, Ithought about that. I was thinking of maybe a chrome smoothie on the rear. The 1200 wheel does look like it would work. Is the 1200 wheel the same size as the stock RKC wheel? Width and height? Any fitment problems? Harleyboy, any suggestions for the "keywords" in a search.
Thanks,
Gary

When I bought my Ultra the dealer had a wheel exchange program where they put chrome mags on an then sent the take offs out for chroming for the next guy. Makes a good looking wheel IMHO.

Just put one of those on the back of my Street Glide with a Weldon the front. Only got to ride it about 10 miles due to the cold, but it fits and looks fine. If you get one from an 2005 or newer it bolts right on the 2002 and newer bikes with a 1" axke. If you get one from a 2004 or older, you'll have to change the bearings as they are 3/4".

Yes, for an 02 and up, you need the rear wheel from an 05 and newer XL.
