Update on my Wheel refund situation with LSHD
Here was my situation with update below;
{I ordered a HD wheel back in Feb. along with a tire, rotors and installation kit. I got the tire and rotors in about a week and the installation kit about a week later since it was on backorder. The wheel was on b/o until April 6. OK I'll wait then it was changed to April 26th and now June 16th. That is a 4 month wait if that date doesn't change and one dealer told me he gave a refund one time after 9 months. Bill has been pretty nice and asked if I wanted a refund (since they charged my card) and cancel. I asked about the other parts which I have and have no use for without the wheel. He said only if I pay a restocking fee of over $100. Now I feel all items are part of the wheel since if I cancel and get a refund I am not going to get a HD wheel and have no use for the items. Am I unreasonable ? or are they for making a couple of extra dollars and never getting another dime from me.? I have used them at least several times over the past 5 years or so. What do you think?}
I canceled the wheel and LS still wanted a 20% restock fee on the other items.. I went to a ;ocal dealer PAT ROGERS SPEEDWAY HD IN CONCORD NC, and bought an agitator wheel. I had the tire for an 18 and they swaped it out for the 19. They gave me 10% off on the wheel and used my installation kit. In the kit was a damaged bearing which they replaced. Then the rotor! The open rotors I had did not fit the new wheel. They not only had the rotors I needed but asked if I had received 20% off from LS on these. I said I did and hoped they would take them back. Well they did and but did not give me back the 80% but gave me full credit off the new ones. They then mounted balanced, put the new rotors on and installed the wheel kit for 1/2 hr labor. Hey Lake SHore pay attention! I try to do most of service myself but I think I know where I go when I need things now.
