We have it in both a VW and Skoda. Porsche invented it for their 1980s Le Mans racing cars, so Honda may have licenced it from Porsche!

I've had a DD7 in my 2009 bagger with a 117" kit for about 20k miles. I'm liking it so far, !st thru 6th is closer ratio and seems it spools up quicker, especially 3rd and 4th. I'm sure the extra torque of the 117 helps that a bit too.
Cons is the cost. I did have to go in and replace the main drive gear seal because it was leaking @ 15k.

How is the shifting noise compared to stock? Mine KLANKS like hitting a glass table with a hammer and grinds between gears. Sent it back for warranty repair & got it back just the same.
