Default How to repair seat clip

Removed the seat today for a minor repair, and the front clip fell off. The plastic the clip is mounted to broke all the way around the metal.

Looks like this is ABS, so I was going to go buy some ABS cement. Will that be strong enough? Is the cement likely to react with the foam core of the seat underneath the plastic? It's visible where the clip used to be.

Anybody had this experience? Suggestions? Sure don't want to buy a new seat.

Thx.

I am not very familiar with HD seats because I have a Corbin but I"d check to see if there is a Service Part repair kit.

Look for a 2 part plastic epoxy. It is very strong and bonds well to plastic, ABS, etc. As you now know, the HD seat pans are flimsy.
