I have a 2012 FLHTP, and I just purchased a True dual exhaust system from MDS. I thought it was funny when I took off the factory 4" mufflers. How did the cop who rode this bike dent the inside RH muffler. Now that I am about to wrap up the new exhaust I realize..... Wow!!!!! the muffler is hitting the swingarm. Is this normal? Do I really have to dent the muffler on an $800.00 exhaust kit? Did Harley Davidson design this or am I missing something? I didnt finish the system tonight because I need some advise
I am really not 100% sure of what you are talking about but if you notice the factory exhausts have an indentation on them and I think it is to give some clearence for the swingarm
If they are the dents I am thinking of, they are supposed to be there. My big Louie's came with the indent and the stock pipes I removed had them as well.
