I have a Michelin II on the back with feathering issues on the treads just off center, 5000 miles.
Sent some pics to Michelin and they said I was running them to low. They told me 42 psi in the rears. A friend of mine has the same issue. Sounds like a similar problem.

Have the Commander II both front and rear on my 2011 FLTRX RoadGlide. Having big cupping issues in the front and I am running 38 in the front cold. I have 7k on the front. The back has 18k and still lots of thread left. Hate the front. I have a buddy with 5k on the front and he too is having cupping issues. I think all will have this issue. There looks to be some design issue with the tire. I will go back to ME888 Metzlers next time.

Had the exact opposite result - - my previous Metzelers cupped like crazy, and the Commander IIs didn't cup at all ....

I run 40 and 42 front and rear but can't see where 2 pounds would make that much difference. Could you have an out of balance problem? I use Ride-On and mine are so much smoother than the lead weights that was on the Dunnies I replaced. Or maybe slightly tweaked forks? My Commanders are much better than the Dunnies.
