I finally removed my gearset (replacing a shattered slider) not sure what caused the marks on the inside of my primary as I don't see anything worn. no trashed bearings or races anywhere, clutch, tranny, primary, Final drive

The one piece bearings are not for my year of bike 2008, the bearing was too loose on the input shaft for my likings. I have a friend that has been using them on the newer models, but he installed them into the primary and never check fitment on the shaft, so I am going to stick with the Race and bearing.

I have a pile of parts here including the Haden M6. I have a SE Comp, that I'm not sure if I should use it or not as there was nothing wrong with my stock Comp. and SE Variable clutch, and Chrome inner,

S&S makes a one piece bearing for 08+. I would go with the SE comp. Very soon there will be a few more alternatives to the SE comp but its better than the OEM unit which is now obsolete.

I contacted S&S and they do not have a 1 piece bearing for the cruze drive 6 speeds

They have some kind of inner race that still utilizes the stock bearing and seal in the primary for the 08 but thats it.

I just called S&S again, talked to some1 different and they do not offer any kind of race for the 2007 and up Tourings. The shaft size changed, any1 using a 1 piece or race from earlier model years is using incorrect parts.

didn't mean to take this thread off subject

thanks for trying to help ......soft 02.

How about that Haden M6.....lol

Just did the M6 install on my '07 Electra Glide and it went very smoothly. I have 54k on the chain and didn't have to use any shims. When I push down on the top run of the chain (with force) the shoe moves up and down. With the stock tensioner I did have some chain slack. I was not able to get the 3/8 inch clearance described in the instructions but after reading here that others have 1/4 inch clearance, I feel fine about it. The install went very smoothly and the only thing I noticed was a slight whir/whine in the primary but according to others that goes away after "awhile". I did not use the spacers as others have warned here and everything went fine. I did not notice in the instructions anything about not using spacers though, so not sure how others came to this conclusion. The pad is centered on the chain and everything went back together just fine.

I did switch to 15w-40 Rotella in the primary and want to see what te performance difference is. I have been running F+ for the past 30k without any issues but shifting is notchy sometimes. Never had trouble finding neutral and while running in the garage to do a leak check I shifted into 1st and 2nd and it still clunked but shifting to neutral was smooth and easy. I will do a ride tomorrow to see how the performance is.

Looks to be a well made product and I have heard nothing but good things so hope to get a few 100k out of this one

For those of you with the Hayden that have the tight clearance are you experiencing any vibration? I recently built a 117 for my street glide and installed the Hayden at same time. Chain was way tight and only had a quarter inch clearance but everyone said it was fine. I been chasing this vibration for a month now and it was a nasty one. I decided to ditch the Hayden and see what happened. Vibration is gone! Bike runs smoother than it ever has. Just wondering if anyone else has picked up some vibration

I've had mine in my 11 king for the last 3000 miles and I have no vibration issues. Mine also only had 1/4" clearance and it made my chain very tight. This week I'm doing the 20000 mile service and I'm going to pull the cover off and see how it looks, as for that whining sound, it's still there.

2 black zip ties pulled tight around M6. slid it in place with a slight pull up on the chain with monster screwdriver. started the two bolts. snipped the zip ties and pulled out with pliers. tightened up bolts. Done
