Default road Glide Ultra ( removeable) Tourpac ideas

hey guys, long time no type, i hope the winter brought goodies and MODS abound for everyone
i need some direction from the established gurus
ya see back in October i lost my 12 Street Glide due to hurricane sandy. that bitch.

In any event I was offered a deal on a 13 road glide ultra that i couldnt refuse. of course im getting a few things done, but what i seriously wanna do is make my Tour pack detachable that way when im running around locally, i can leave her in the garage and zip around in just the stripped road glide, and when i go long distances, i add the pack and away i go.. i researched MOCOs direction but wow the mod, parts etc.. put me back in excess of 500-800 dollars.

is there a better way

any advice would be appreciated

Cool

Another way?

Don't think so. Go with the quick detach kit... then your gonna need a seat, then bars... then...

I guess my point is.... nothing is cheep about it.

Best of luck,

Beav

Got the bars did, powdercoated a lot of odd and end stuff, did the pipes. lemme get a pic up did the also did the center console and the rims.. i didnt like the idea of paying extra money for new rims when i could just cot them for way less . and give her a really good look. brb lemme get a fe photos . my point is,can i get the kit from another vendor for half the cost. instead of using harleys kit.

Not too much choices for a detachable kit but HD and a couple aftermarket kits.

Not sure but I think "FBI" makes a pretty clean kit that you can use.

If you go HD, try one of the "online" HD dealers that will give you 20% and maybe free shipping.

Good Luck and Congrats on your new Roadie!

There aren't many options. The least hassle option is to just get the parts from Harley, from a discount dealer as mentioned.
