I understand not abusing a bike that you love. But at some point, what are you trying to keep it looking great for? I bought mine to ride.

Congrats on the bike...... Keep it parked salt and motorcycles don't mix we'll. Lots of people out in upstate N.Y yesterday as it was close to 60 degrees, and no rain since November roads are loaded with salt and still people out riding ........truly amazing. And most of the bikes I saw we're big dollar bikes. I think the worst you can do is ride it and wash it to activate the salt to start its etching process. I always wait till the end of April ........unless we get 3-4 hard rain storms to wash the salt away.
