Default North Carolina guys

Hoping to get a road report from someone up there. Looking at ridng through Andrews, Cherokee and possibly some BRP or the Skyway next weekend. Do the roads still have too much gravel for a safe ride? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm also interested. I hope to ride the BLP in 3 weeks.

We are getting rain this morning and talking more rain on Easter Sunday,so the main roads should be free of salt and gravel but the south end of the BRP is not open yet, I live 15 miles from the start of the BRP over in Cherokee,NC and the gates were still closed on Thursday, we still see snow on the mountain tops from our house so I'm sure some of the roads on the parkway still have snow in shaded areas.

I am in the smokies right now with family and still has lots of snow. Its melted a lot the last couple days but not sure how soon till everything is open. The road between Gatlinburg and Cherokee is closed right now so can't even get to that entrance of BRP even if it was open from Gatlinburg side.

The fog is intense right now as well. We were planning on coming in a couple weeks on bikes but made a different plan. Going go through arkansas and south instead. Yesterday went as high up as we could and temp was 34 degrees at 5000 feet.

Road to Cherokee yesterday
