My apologies, it was below the nacelle and above the engine guard, still not rubbing though. I attempted to attach a picture.

 

Looks like it is possibly rubbing when the handlebars are at full right turn lock... I had the same issue with the HD SS cable, now have Magnum (ordered a custom length to add a little extra slack in that area).

 

Magnum asked me to send the clutch cable back for inspection. Because of the work involved, and since its not cable failure, I said no thanks. My dealer is getting me a section of shrink tubing from Drag Specualties.

 

I've got the black clutch cable. The cabling bunches up where it goes into the fairing and the coating is discolored where it runs down under the engine.

this isn't the cables fault but inside the fairing it has rubbed against the radio bracket I have my RF amp installed on and it is right down to the braided wire. I put shrink wrap and a piece of heater hose on it to stop it from getting worse.

I will likely switch it out to a stock HD one later this year.

 

Got Magnums on my King and the clutch cable came with a piece of heat shrink installed...just had to move it to where the cable makes contact and heat it up
