Second, if you prefer the SG and can afford it, it doesn't matter one damn bit what any of us think - it only matters what YOU think. If you think you want the SG, get the SG. I'd do a long demo and/or a rental if you could, but I love mine...
On a somewhat similar note, I just traded a family sedan and a 2-seat sports car on a Mini Cooper JCW...people might think I'm nuts, but it made me happy and it's what works best for me, so I don't give a damn - I just did it...
Ride the bike as long as you can - if it's right, you'll know it...

I've struggled to love my bike for a long time. I own. CVO Softail ConV, 2011 with less than 2k miles. For some reason, I am convinced that I would love a touring bike, specifically a Street Glide more.
I was made an offer today to trade my CVO for a 2013 Street Glide for 25k. That would leave me about 2k to use on upgrades to my new bike.
It seems ridiculous to even consider this but I wanted to see what others thought. I appreciate any opinions

Don't sweat the iron butts.
Maybe if you enjoyed your ride more you would ride more.
Life's too short.

[QUOTE=XARAN;11077571]I dont know how long you have owned the CVO but seems like you dont put many miles on the bikes so If your buying jsut for looks and value Id stay with the CVO , it will hold the value longer and is a little more unique. /QUOTE]
I'm thinking this way as well. It kind of sounds like you just want a new toy. I'm with you, I feel that way all the time. I keep going to the dealership to trade my 09 SG in for a new one, but always leave on the same bike. I just like shinny new things.
Anyway, I think in your case, the CVO is the right bike for low miles riding. I also agree with the "Life is short, ride what you want" perspective also and theSG is a very cool bike.

Softails are cool looking, sleek, " Closest thing to a chopper" bikes, but for comfort and enjoying the ride, nothing beats a bagger. My Night Train hasn't gone 100 miles since I bought my Limited, just so much more enjoyable, and isn't that really the bottom line anyway? The Train is up for sale now......................
