Default Red led bulbs with red lenses?

I have a 13 SG and I found some red led bulbs at auto zone that I wound like to install in the the rear lights. The bulbs from the factory are clear. Will the red bulbs be bright with the red lenses?

I would think you wouldn't notice much of a difference in color over the clear bulbs. You would want those with the smoked lenses. I tried those same LEDs from Autozone though and they aren't very bright. Not near as bright as I was hopping for anyhow...

The LEDs at autozone are terrible save your money and buy some good quality ones like from Radiantz lighting.

I had Red Lenses on my rear signals and clear bulbs....
I then ordered Red LEDs from Custom Dynamics... The next day I thought "CRAP! Shoulda ordered clear ones!!!!"

So I called them to change my order. They said to keep it Red LEDs through Red Lenses... they said that regular bulbs react different to the lenses than LEDs. They said if I had got Clear LEDs through Red Lenses, it would not have appeared Red enough.

Are they right? I don't know. Really don't even care. All I know is they are in the business of selling LEDs on bikes, and my Red LED signals through my by Red Lenses look awesome.

I have the custom dynamics red LEDs and red lenses and it is a good match. I tried smoked lenses but like the red ones best.
Red lenses with red LEDs will work fine.

Take the advice of bberck. Hold out for some good light instead of a cheap auto zone lamp.

Red behind red looks redder than the clear behind red.
Sounds dumb, but it's true.

Two positives don't make a negative.

Red on red is fine!
