Default 12v power point

Has anyone hooked up the 91843-97 power point to there EGC? If so how long is the cable with it, and where did you mount it? I usethe powerpoint that comes on the EGC for a portable CB and want to use a seperate power point for my Garman 296 GPS, and would like to mount it close to the front if there is a place that it would look ok. I use theGPS in my cessna and don't want to wire it permanently on the EGC. thanks.

Default RE: 12v power point

bought one a few years ago for my 01flhtci wires are about 12 inches. I mounted it in the side cover. Or use your imagination and build a bracket or buy one.
Mine connected to the accessory power point plug under seat.
If you want, you can use any aftermarket(even auto) cig lighter, just wire it in (fuse it) and cut hole in the inner fairing place it where you want.
Or use a splitter that plugs into your existing lighter.
