there is a hole in the center of the pushrod that supplies oil fed thru them to the rocker boxes to lubricate the rocker arms.

I recently purchased the Woods directional lifters and Fuel Moto pushrods and I received a little card with the lifters that stated DO NOT soak them in oil as they come with a lightweight oil already in them. When I questioned why not, I was told that it was to make it quicker for bleeding purposes and that if I did soak them it would take hours for them to bleed down when I'm setting the pushrods. Just a heads up...

HDV must be runnin' one of those "3/4 race, high liftin' solid tappets!" Your avitar just polishes it off, bub...

You can also do this with an ordinary oil gun.

To be honest, I installed the SE adjustable push rods and never took notice to any openings in the rod. It was my first cam job, what can I say except I learned something new today....

Yes, that will work good too. It just depends upon the brand of pushrod and how accessible the internal passage may be.

I use the S&S quickie adjustables and it's pretty easy getting oil into the pushrods once I screw out the threaded adjustable end. I just carefully pour it in there from the Amsoil bottle.

It's all good... just pokin' a little fun at ya.

(It's how the oil gets to the top of the engine.)

That's what this forum is all about! Well.... it's quite entertaining at times, to.

No oil with the woods follow the instructions that come with them. They are pre lubed. No breaking in a cam. As stated take it easy till your sure everything is good with your tune and install and let er rip
