Always bring a no-name lightweight waterproof cover for overnights. Protects the bike and I think it adds a bit to security.

I bought a nice 1/2 cover. Folds up pretty small. Ditto on adding a touch of security from lookie lou's.

Never, would be ok for an overnighter but most of my overnighters last several nights and I always take other crap like clothing...etc. if I took an actual one night trip I might.

I always take mine. Bought it cheap at Walmart, keeps the bike dry and covered. It's a generic cover, so you'd have to look underneath it to see the bike.

I always bring my cover on overnight stays where the bike will be outside in public.

I like the security of someone having to lift the cover to poke around in my bags.

The salt in the night air is also kept at bay.
