Sorry, that was the Excessive Heat thread where they wanted the NHTSA to get involved. But there was a thread awhile back about the way the ABS works and would engage over rough roads. I think that was pre 10 models and they had a update to the ABS firmware.

Like Joe says, not sure what the NHTSA is going to do unless it is a design issue and so far I haven't heard much about problems with the ABS where they just don't work.

Mine hasn't worked sence day one on my 2010 EGC. The lite is suppose to blink when cranked up and then go out when you start rolling to show its working. Mine would never go out. Had it three different HD shops and it still doesn't work, so I pulled the fuse so it doesnt bother me by blinking. I've been rideing for over 50 years without ABS, so a few more want hurt me any. And with an 8" wide car tire on the rear, I'll be stopping pretty good anyway. But thats another story.

My ABS light came on..on my '09 Ultra. Dealer said it was a broken wire in 'front of the bike' and was repaired under warranty. Probably report it to the NHRA...?

There have been a number of posts here on the forum (and considerably more elsewhere) from owners reporting hard pedal or lever resulting in the inability to properly apply one or the other brake. Those that have posted repair results have tended to indicate an issue with the ABS module.

Don't have ABS myself, but only because my dealer couldn't locate my model and color anywhere in a three state area.

Have 4 HD's with ABS and not a single issue. Would not purchase a bike without ABS.

Why not report it to the dealer or your local Indy first to see if you can get it fixed?
