Only 9500 miles on rear tire
The rear tire on my Limited only lasted 9500 miles. From what I have been reading on this forum I expected a bit more. The tire did wear very evenly though, no cupping issues, with a nice wide wear area.
I was getting the same mileage from E3's on my 05 Ultra. I really expected more from the new 407's.

Not saying you are doing anything wrong, there has to be a cause.

At 3/32" tread depth, start look for new tire(s).
Definitely replace at 2/32 (or 1/16th--I knew someone would say that).
Yeah, you could get some more miles but you're also risking your bike and perhaps your butt if you lose control of your bike.
Incorrect tire pressure, overloading (saddlegabs/tour-pak and back seat) hard acceleration and downshifting to quickly can cause premature rear tire wear.
My buddy has a 2016 with 16,000+ miles and still has some tread left on his rear tire, and on my 2000 Ultra I usually went close to 12,000 miles on a rear tire.

I guess I'm not sure what a 2016 is. That the tire or the bike. I have an 01 Road King and I'm only getting around 10,000 miles on a rear, about a year for me. On my '90 dresser I'd get about 14,000 or more. I ride the same on my RK as I did the FLHTC. Both tires the same size and were 402's. I'd think that the newer bikes with the wider tire would get more.
