Installed PYO 10" bars on my 09 FLHT
Just wanted to share my experience with installing 10" Yaffe bars and running my wires inside the bars....It was a help reading other post prior to me going at my own bike,so thought I would return some knowledge I just learned...Trust this was all learned the hard way...but it wasn't too bad...
Removing pins from connectors...remove backing, take needle nose pliers and pull the inside of connector 3/8...this unlocks the secondary lock....then insert a straigthened paper clip into the adjacent hole to the pin until theres a little snap, where the pin has been released...
***I Elongated the control wire holes with a dremel and debured*** As for running the TBW and Right controls inside the bar, best thing is to remove the rubber/plastic covering on the wires...I used electrical tape and redid the wires...not as bulky and slides through much better with vaseline...I ran two weed waker lines(rigid and u dont need weights on a string)one for TBW and other for R/H controls...one goes out the end the other just before grip for controls...I then tapped both to wires and pulled controls in just pass to get the pins in...then started pulling on TBW to the whole for the controls...then I just pulled on both at same time...insert vaseline into the whole to let them slide easier...
L/H control is much easier and just prepared and ran it the same as right side...
My clutch and front brake cable were just long enough, I went into the wire nacelle and re-routed the cables....I removed clutch lever cable from housing and re-routed back through inner fairing..it is long enough...cutting zapstrap on front frame gives more play...as for the brake cable...I brought the whole assembly into the nacelle and re-routed it...lots of play now..
The connector wires for controls and TBW on the frame side...I also re-routed them and they will be just below my stereo...I see no need for longer cables at all...
Hope this helps someone and feel free to ask me any questions....Thanks

About the same as I did.
After a couple failed attempts this is the one that worked flawless on right side.
I pulled the TBW from the end then out where the control wires go in. I then taped the TBW wires to the control wires starting a few inches back so all the pins weren't together. I taped them together for about 6 inches then feed them in and pulled them through.
The left side took literally 5 minutes it's amazing how much harder 8 wires on the right make it lol

I tried that the second time, but still had the exsisting rubber/plastic covering on the wires...that stuff doesn't slide well even with vaseline on it....so ended like taking it all off and tapping the entire wire bundles....
Installed evrything, all works as advertised(throttle, signals, horn, etc) just waiting for my new whitewalls to come in and install them to try the cruise control...
