Default Grab Rail Handle - yes or no?

The wife definitely wants a grab rail but uncertain about whether to add the handle or not. What's the experience of your passengers? Wish they had, wish they hadn't bothered or neutral?

Grab rails were installed by previous owner. My wife never uses them.

My wife sleeps on long rides, she'd probably appreciate the gesture but not use them.

I picked up one for my '11 RKC and then found out the wife wouldn't ride on the back (she wanted her own bike). There is a pic of it installed in my garage photos.

One thing to consider might be the add-on handles to fatten up the grip point. Probably another 30-50 bucks, but makes it feel like the passenger is actually holding something other than just a thin rod (unless, of course, they like that feel )

have them on my 07 and they are great to have just in case she wants to have something to steady herself with while going over railroad tracks, bridges or just to feel alittle safer in a hard braking situation.....highly recommend them

Poorly worded post title on my part. I like the twisties and she wants to have something to hang onto for them - so a grab rail will be added. My question is whether anyone has experience with the add-on handles for the grab rail.

Another option (may or may not fit the bill for you) are the new passenger armrests. Those might actually be useful when not in the twisties too.
