i mounted a ram mount ball on the mirror stem. it keeps the bars from getting cluttered with useless *****.

2" wide L-bracket, double sided 3M automotive trim molding tape for fairing mount. 3M "Velcro" also automotive grade, wraparound case for droid Max for mount.

$0, all items from other projects. 5weeks of commuting and no problems yet.

Gotta love the pausing of music for turn by turn directions over the audio system.

Here are some nice-looking options for mounting on a handlebar, Harley brake or clutch, even windshield. For Garmin Nuvi I personally like the eCaddy Diamond (pic attached!) - it's got a formed-fitted cradle so the GPS will NEVER fall out, a swivel mechanism on the back so you can angle it wherever, and the hardware is all aluminum, then chrome plated (or you can get black anodize): http://www.leadermotorcycle.com/motorcycle-gps-mounts/

used a ram ball mount it goes on your mirror mount as another op

I use a ram mount on my SG where the mirror stem would be.
