Default Doing CB install in phases on a 2012 SG.

I'm ready to purchase the H-D CB Radio in phases since the final cost is high especially with tax season in swing. My question for Phase 1 is, if I buy the following items will this allow me listen to CB chatter over the fairing speakers?

CB Radio Module - 76416-06C
Overlay Harness - 70169-06A
Antenna - 76410-09

To complete phase 2

These are the part numbers that i think I may need.

Communication Switch Kit - 77173-08
Boom! Audio Half Helmet Headsets (x2) - 76572-09
Boom! Audio Music and Intercom Kit - 76440-06

My ultimate goal is to have Bike to Bike and Bike to Passenger communication, but seem confused in this area.

Thanks in advance

Can't answer your question about listening in phase 1.

As for the completeness of your parts list, when I installed CB intercollegiate
I used the cb module, non-Ultra overlay harness, BAMI kit 77108-09, and J&M in- fairing cb antenna. I also bought J&M headsets

If you use my username and BAMI kit p/n in the advanced search function you will find a very complete write-up of my install.

You should have bought an Electra Glide.

You are probably right, but I have to do with what I have today.

I have revised my install plan as follows:

Phase 1 - Which will allow to listen to CB conversation only.

CB Radio Module - 76416-06C
Overlay Harness - 70169-06A
Antenna - 76410-09

Phase 2 - Will allow CB communication via PTT and passanger communication via VOX

Boom! Audio and Music Intercom - 77108-09A Includes the following components, PTT switch for left side handle bar and front and rear headset ports.

My plans are to mount the driver headset port on the wind deflector as shown here:

Boom! Audio Half Helmet Headsets (x2) - 76572-09

Credits to 2011 Road Glide Ultra, Doc.coffin and Harleypingman for their contribution.

Good luck with your project.

I saw the cvoharley.com post on locating the rider headset connector on the mid-frame heat deflector and moved mine there.

Start a thread when you begin the install.

Did not think anyone used CB on bike. Mine has been disconnected for years.

I went with the J&M set up on my Electra Glide. It's an easy install.

Check this out. You would need the dial system

I did dis conversion on my 07 FLHTC..well worth it and way better than the J&M...I am not sure if you will be able to listen to the CB...You will i believe to have the handlebar switch and the speaker switch to even be able to listen to the CB over the speaker...You will not need the dealer download unless you install the rear speaker setup...
