Hey there

You can go to www.flhrsei.org and see lots of SE baggers with the stock chopped TP's--thats the CVO site--will basically be the same bike as yoursless the lowers. To add a TP, Im pretty sure you would make it quick detach, so I dont know why you wouldnt get the full size "King" TP to carry extra stuff when you want to travel--for short trips you still have the side bags

My 2 cents-PEZ

Here's a good comparison. Iclick is showing you a chopped pack in a solo position. Here are a couple of pics of my Dad's King pack in the solo position. Not the best photos, but you get the idea.

Here are a couple, both with and without a spoiler.

Here you go.

Geez, Doug, it looks like you could start your own moving company with that setup. And you could take the kitchen sink with you on a trip.

Yeah, I've gotta admit that it looks like overkill. The problem is that I'm a photographer and I take a ton of camera gear with me on my trips. I shoot 4x5 and my camera takes up a lot of room.

I can relate, as I'm a commercial photographer myself, semi-retired (30 years without a steady job). If you're shooting large format, where do you mount the tripod on the bike? I've never carried my good digicams (D2H & D2X) on the bike since I fear the vibration might cause problems, but I would think delicate cameras and lenses would be isolated well on the passenger seat inside that large bag of yours. I usually take a point-and-shoot (Coolpix 4500) on trips, which wouldn't be a disaster if damaged or lost, and does a good enough job.

Since I occasionally would prefer taking the bike on some photo shoots, like on nice days when anybody would really prefer not riding in a cage, I've thought about making a foam cutout for the tour pak, where the camera equipment would be surrounded by thick foam. Never actually did it, though. The problem is that I also carry a large softbag with Lumedyne and Quantum flash gear, which is too bulky for the bike...except with your setup.
