Dynojet Power Vision - Questions
I have a PCV on my bike. Dyno tuned map installed on it and it runs great. Mileage isn't great but could be worse. low 30's in town when i'm beating on it and 38-40 if i'm really lucky going 55-65.
My Wife's '02 road king has a SERT installed. Had it when she got it. She gets horrible mileage. Let alone the smaller tank. It runs great and the P/O had some type of plug issue going on so the bike came with 3 different dyno sheets from different places. Right around 80hp and 90tq out of the 88 with stock cams.
I'm debating making the move to the Power Vision and getting an additional license for her RK. Purely for the mileage aspect. I'm sure the bikes will run better but performance gains aren't paramount at this point.
I know with the PCV I can just remove it and install the Power Vision. Is it possible to use my PCV map so it can tune from there? Or just get something close and let it do its thing?
With the SERT, (not familiar with how these work), I think the map on the ECU is actually updated. Do I just ignore that fact and let the Power Vision tune from there?
Thanks

I would order it from Fuel Moto for your bike with the PCV and they will pre install a map for yours. You will have to get a second licenses from Dynajet for $199. Put the bike with the SERT on the second license as it will be saved to the PV when you marry it to the second license. If you have the software for the sert you can view maps for various bikes and use this info to tune your timing portion of the PV. The auto tune will tune the fuel end for you. The timing makes lots of difference. I have a PV with two license that were both PCV prior. You will like the PV especially if you have cams added.

The data in the ECM can be uploaded to any of the tuners.
It is the ECM that dictates what memory locations represent which fields.
The rev limiter will show up as rev limiter with any device, which is based on mapping of the ECM rather than the tuner.
Some devices may offer more flexibility in what can be accessed, changed, and how displayed, but, they offer the interface means into where the data resides.
They have all been designed (the ones that work for specific bikes) to talk the ECM's language, and to meet the ECM's protocol.
