Really. I don't know what you are talking about. In order to remove that bracket the perp would have to crack the bags. This stuff is a deterrent, not a guarantee. Plus it offers peace of mind knowing the bags can not fly off going down the road.

The OP isn't talking about the bolts from Brukus.

He is talking about the bolts that attach the saddlebag mounts to the front of the rear fender strut.

Since I don't have the Brukus set up I will go as far as making the assumption that it comes with two bolts per side to secure the bags to the bike. If they only provide one per side then placing the Brukus bolt in the rear mount will keep the bags secure regardless of the 7/16th bolt on the front mount area. Hope this clears some questions up.
The quote above seems correct to me (and there are two bolts per side on the Brukus).

Also, I installed the system not because it is bulletproof but because it seems it would be damn hard to get the bags off without setting off the alarm and siren and allowing me to get there and ask WTF. The dzus fasteners originally supplied with the bags could perhaps be removed without the alarm going off, especially if the thief knew the alarm will 'warn'. I'm never out of siren/pager range so the Brukus gives me added 'security'. As many have said there is no system that will stop a determined thief.

I just went and looked at my wife's street glide and I believe the OP is referring to the bolt that holds the front saddlebag bracket to the frame of the bike. This is the one you have to take out if you remove the passenger grab strap from the seat completely (she has no need for the strap). With this being said, the rear saddlebag bracket is integrated with the saddlebag support bar which the saddlebag sets on when mounted. So yes, they can remove the front, but not the back. At least not without tearing something up. As HDV-Glide said, you can replace it with an allen head should you want to, but not all that necessary. Bottom line is if they want it, they will get it, but like everyone else, I'm gonna make'em work for it anyway.

Hope this clears it up.

Poorly titled thread IMO. The Bruckus hardware does what is intended to do.

Agree. If you have the right wrenches, you can take the whole damn bike apart, so what's new? And how the hell does that take away from the Brukus product?

As others have mentioned, nothing is 100% going to stop a thief. It's intended to slow them down if not be enough of a pain in the *** that they move on to another bike. I am happy with my kit, I think it's a quality product and does what it is intended to.

Here is the right side of my bike with the brukus system installed.

The front most bracket for the saddlebag does have a bolt that could be removed. On my 09 FLHP, the back mount is welded to the strut and cannot be removed.
