Im ready to go to HDParts.com and get everything needed to install 12.5 Chubys....
My question is, and I get conflicting answers on this....Do I need to get the wire extension kit, I know I need the TBW extension.

I got my bars WO577 from leatherup.com they had the best price and free shipping, got the cables from http://www.kutterharleyonline.com/ (magnum shielding +6 Black Pearl Cables) they also had the WO577.
I talked to John at Wild One he said you do not need wiring extensions or the tbw just be careful witht he green connecter you will have reroute the wiring , all you need is + 6 cables.
I am getting ready to put the 12.5 on my Street Glide to , I did go ahead and get the TBW extension from another forum member that decided not to use it,becausre of the nightmares I have read about the green connecter. I plan on doing this next weekend.

 

You wont need to extend the wires if you dont want to. I got longer cables and lines and a longer TBW but I didnt extend the wires. If your going to change your exhaust might as well do it now since you have to remove it anyway.
I took pictures of all the wires going into the connectors. Pay real close attention to the tbw connectors. The wires are one color going into the green connector and a different color going out. Have fun. Its a real pain in the ***. If you arent very comfortable with your mechanical abilities it is better to pay the shop 400$ to do it.
