Default Commander II Mileage Update

My riding buddy just changed the rear Commander II tire. He got 13,000 miles out of it. He could have gone a bit longer...maybe another 1000 at most. So, the claim of twice the mileage did not work, at least not for my friend. I have a couple thousand on mine. Will report mileage when ready to change.

I got 15,500 out of my stock tire. So 13k isn't good at all.
have the CII on now but its still new.
Hope i do better than 13k.
Thanks for the info

Was at the local dealer yesterday (wife works there) and the drag specialities rep was in and carrying a commander II. We chatted a little and he told me Michillen is comming out with a tire in response to the new Metzler 888 that is claimed to average 30K miles lifespan!

I never could figure out how people get such radical differences in tire mileage.

I've got 10,000 on rear Commander II and it looks almost like new and I ride fairly hard! But then I am not doing burnouts either, seems pretty low milage to wear out the Commander II IMO!

Total weight of the bike, proper/improper inflation, riding style, road temperature and road surface abrasion (texture or material) are some of the factors that can effect tire milage.

I just had a set put on last week. First time ever replacing both front and rear at the same time. The best I ever got out of a rear was 11,500 and that was a Dunlop E III. So far this tire handles at LEAST as well as the E III so even if I only get 13K I will be happy. I do not do burnouts but do ride very aggressively, especially in the twisties.

I doubled my milage over stock Dunflops and with better/equal handling of the Metz ME880 its a keeper. I still run the ME880 on the front though.

Curious to hear real world mileage on the 888s. Been using 880s forever and love 'em but the mileage sucks. Even considered going to the CII.

I have over 10K miles on mine ,and still have 7/32 tread left , it starts with 9/32, so I will probably get real close to 18k out of mine.
