I had a Sony Marine head unit and it just took a dump, not due to water. I need to get something ASAP, not sure if I should go the Marine route again. How many of you are using marine or just car stereos? I don't really ride in inclement weather unless I get stuck so weathers not really an issue.

 

No Marine unit here, or face place cover. I have the Sony media player, the one that has a ipod tray.

I'm in California, so I think I am ok on keeping it dry.

 

I'm not a big fan of "marine" audio but I really don't know anything about them. I have an automotive unit. I'd say just get what features ya want.

 

Try the sony DSX series!

 

Flip over to the audio forum and ask UltraNutz. The guy has amazing knowledge of this stuff and is super helpful.

 

Any Sony DSX will work just fine and have some awesome features!

 

if your going back to stock head unit there always one for sale in Classfied section and ebay

 

Alpine media center. im going sony next time around, but i do love the Apline as a head unit

 

I also have the Sony DSX series, not the marine grade one. I have rode in the rain and left the bike out in a storm and it still works great. The best thing is I bought it factory refurbished on ebay for $75 so it is cheaply replaced.

 

Go with the DVD screen !
