I agree. I have vinyl C&C solo's on two bikes. The Vinyl will always look nice but tends to grab your jeans a bit. Makes it harder to shimmy around in the seat if you will..
The leather I had on my Brawler seat was the exact opposite. Although with that little seat if you weren't ready for it you'd slide right off the back. After 2 years it was already showing age. I conditioned and cleaned it nearly every other week with Lexol.

Vinyl will look like new for a long time..............your butt will sweat more and it will be hotter to sit on when left out in the sun.
Leather will break down (fade) and look old in two years but will breathe better so your butt doesn't sweat as much and it won't be as stingingly hot to sit on when left out in the sun.
