Vinyl here... just picked up my fastback with rider backrest. C&C were great to deal with. Dave really did help. I think for most of us Vinyl is the way to go. Its just easier to maintain and the look will last for a long time. either way I am sure you will be happy with C&C.
I had a leather c and c seat for several years... It got more and moe comfortable as time went on and it aged really nice.... Leather over vinyl every time IMO
to me having a vinyl seat on a harley is like having a plastic fender. just doesn't seem right.
For the record "skratch" I agree with you. The Corbin I had on my old Heritage was leather. It looked as good when I sold the bike 14yrs later. I'm a bit more of a cheapskate these days. Most who I ride with thou, are surprised my C&C isn't leather. Just Saying. Leather has character like nothing else. BTW....Harleys are becoming more and more vinyl and plastic these days
I'm going vinyl. I just talked to someone there at C&C and he said they have 2 different kinds of vinyl, the regular and mercedes. Anyone have any pics of the 2 or a combination of the 2? Any good/bad experiences with either?

not sure where I saw a pic of the "mercedes" vinyl but what appeared to me was that it has a texture to it and to me that would bring more dirt buildup. my solo is in vinyl with no stitching, easier to keep clean and also I have heard that water can get in the stitching.

The Mercedes has a texture to it. Both my seats from them have been the Mercedes an I like it.
