Wheel Bearings

Had all the bearings replaced this morning with 25k miles. 1 was almost completely frozen and made an odd noise when you forced it to spin and 1 spun freely like it was brand new. The other 2 felt worn but ok. Tech got the 4 wheel bearings mixed up so not sure which ones came from where.
Also rear pully ones replaced while I was at it tech said they seemed fine.
All were replaced with new part number ending in A.
Oh and lucky me the tech found a leak in my tranny. Thinks its the output shaft seal but not sure.

When all bearings shims and spacers are well installed you have a solid pile of material that cannot be crushed. The thread of the front axle can be destroyed/stripped but the rest will not suffer. When your bearings are not paired with the rest then you introduce an enormous lateral effort that will damage the races.

Just killing some time and read this posting, when I read #32 about changing non ABS to ABS bearings, all he said was pulled both bearings, then installed the ABS bearing and the the non ABS bearing, if he didn't change the spacer in the wheel he's going to have a hard time installing the wheel, the spacer for a non ABS is a different length.
