Question Do you really listen to MUSIC?

I was talking with some friends the other day about this and it got me to wondering. I prefer the sound of the road and my bike. To me, the music is just another distraction. And one of the reasons I ride is to get away from the noise and enjoy some quiet time.

That's not to say I never turn it on. Usually streaming Pandora through the phone. But for me, it's rare you'll come up behind me with it on.

And I'll add that I'm very much a music lover. There's audio in every room of my house and the garage. Everything from tube amps to Ipod docks. A combination of vintage and modern.

And that would make me #3

I always keep mine on and am always listening to music. Its no more distracting than driving a car with the radio on.

Sometimes I like listening to tunes. Sometimes I like the tranquility of the sound of nothing more than my engine and pipes. Depends on what mood I am in. I do find I listen to tunes more on the open highway than back road riding.

All depends on the ride.
If its mama and I with a group, seldom. She is to busy gaukin and yappin.
If its solo with the boyz and we are poundin the miles, then you bet. Slower speeds
cruisin through a ralley, it's quiet background music. Allways mp3 files, for the radio's suck.

Mine is probably on 95% of the time. I turn it off riding in a group some times but I mostly ride alone.
There have been times I wanted to hear the bike and not the radio though.

Don't see a choice that would equal 50% of the time. How do you use a memory stick with a 3.5 plug.

My stereo is on 90% of the time. I pack 80 -90 songs on a CD and keep a wallet full of CDs in the tour pak.
The wind in my hair, the throb of my exhaust and some classic rock make a sweet mixture!

I like to listen to Bob Uecker, announcing Brewer Games. Or my MP3 player, or CDs I burned, just for my bike.

I do get frustrated looking for a decent radio station. Wore the seek button out. I wouldn't want a display where you are picking songs. I just let my MP3 player run through playlist.

Sometimes I just listen to bike. I do listen to the radio a lot more than I thought I would before I had a bike with the radio.
