Funny you talk about the bigger mufflers. When I got these I didn't realize they were pretty much straight through from header to the back. I am so used to seeing the larger mufflers on baggers so it took me some getting used to seeing these. LOL!! So yeah I'd say true dual headers of some kind and pick and chose the mufflers you want. That sounds like a combo you're lookin for. Now as far which ones? I'd say maybe at some local rallies, or cruise nights, etc check out different bikes and see if any catch your attention. Then as the owner bout em. You're lookin for a particular sound. Best way to find it is to listen first hand. Best of luck to ya sir.

 

If you really want to punish someone, Samsons are great for making ears bleed.
No one will want to ride behind you though.

 

Thank ya smokengun. Yeah I know the sound I'm lookin for. Lookin for more of a drag pipe sound and I think I'm going with Rush slipons with torque inserts w/o baffles. I posted a vid in a earlier post. And come to think of it orangevette I think Samson has a vid as to what I'm looking for as well. I'll try and find it and post it as well. Thanks again guys!

Don't worry about bottom end loss, the TTI's will give you any loss back, plus some. Get what you like the looks and sounds of best. Everyones ear is different, but to my ear the true duals are better sounding.

Unless you are looking to quiet it down, with a 2" pipe go with the W118's. The W158's will not give you anymore low & mid range power than the W118's, but they will be a bit quieter and take just a little 2-3% off your top end.

 

If you get a chance go to a rally and take notes, works for a lot of people. Good luck.

Kglidevivid I haven't been able to get to the rallies I'm on call 24-7 and recently been laid off but I'm just searching for ideas since I have all this spare time now. Lol.
