Absolutely worth it. I put one on about 3 years ago and have not looked back. It allows you to relax in the saddle and still have plenty of back support.
I know I'm older, but after riding most of my younger days with & without backrests...I now prefer "with" just for the added comfort. Don't really have any back issues/problems, but after a couple hundred miles it's nice support for the "longer hauls." Also, great place to tie other crap too as well (i.e. bags, gear, etc.).
Backrest was the first thing I purchased after I got mine.. Feel like I'm sliding all over the seat if i don't have it on.. If I don't have it on... is becuz I have a nicer "backrest" who rides along
[quote=basselope;10981180]Definitely makes the longer rides more comfortable for me. Just wish I could have gotten an adjustable, but they don't fit with a Tallboy seat.
That's why so many biker Babes have big hooties. No need for the back rest, and if they push you forward a little... SWEEET!

Completely lost my Train of thought when I saw your sig pic!! Holy CRAP!!
Never had one but the overwhelming response has me interested. I ride on long rides all of the time and never really thought about it. Does age play into this decision? I am in my 30's
