Default Tips on new wheels for 2012 Road King?

Hi All,

I'm thinking of replacing the spokes on my 2012 Road King Classic. I want to try and find a wheel that keeps the retro look and also looks good with the wide whites. I was thinking of the Southern motorcycle Legend wheels in full chrome. Any opinions?

I'm also wondering about wheel size. Any suggestions on size that will still look good with the factory fenders? I was thinking of doing 18's in the front and rear. Can I do that? What would the correct tire size be?

Thanks!

J.

those are slick too! I sent a message to inquire about pricing.

I'm only replacing them 'cause I'm worried about spinning the hub out of my spoke wheels. Anyone know what the max HP for the spoke wheels would be before you end up with potential problems?

I had broken spokes twice so went to cast (couldn't afford high dollar rims). First time spokes broke the bike was so unstable I would not ride. Second time I didn't even know I had broken spokes but by that time the hub was shot as well. I love the look of the fat spoke rims and I suspect they are much more solid but I feel much safer on cast rims.

You can do a 21" up front and keep your stock fender, just another option.
