RE: Best H-D touring bike "poll"
I've had a Road King and now have my Ultra Classic.
When it comes to touring and doing 300+ miles in a day.............you can't beat the Ultra Classic. Storage, stereo, cruise control, comfort, and all..............it's the only way to go if you are going to do any real touring at all.

All day comfort. Did several 700 mile days last Jun & Jul when we did a 9500 mile trip. Went from Spokane WA to Phoenix AZ to Orlando FL to Southern Maine then back across the northern tier to include the Upper PI of MI. This was with my SO on the back and pulling a small trailer. The cruise control, intercom and tunes makes it enjoyable for a long day in the saddle.

Well said , I always wondered why the bikes without a faring full of gauges , stereo , cruise control , etc. could be a few hundred bucks cheaper ?

For simply the price the Standard is the way to got. If I was able to do long long rides then the Classic or Ultra would be worth the price, but for someone like myself that will do one or two weekend trips a year and the rest local riding from work to home and just havin fun you cannot beat the Standard. Just my 2cents worth. Bryan
