Default 2012 Electra Glide speedo Plug & Play ?

Replacing a speedometer in a 2012 FLHTK, and received a new speedo from MoCo, but with no instructions and although I have no problems to install the actual speedo , since it is obviously electronic, anyone know if this plug and play or if I have dealer install it ?

Thanks in advance for any help ?
Scott

Just plug it in. It will work. If you didn't order one with the miles reinstated at the factory your new odometer will be off from your actual miles.

should have come with a connector that you hook up and download all info into your new speedo and then after 33 miles it will lock it to your ecm.

That doesn't work with an Electra Glide speedo. It has to be ordered with the miles from the factory.

The nifty muti-color speedo for the Road King can be user set..... once.

Since it should be warranty work(at least assuming it is), why not let the dealer do it?

From experience with my gauge. miles are set at the moco for the EG gauges when ordered and based on what the dealer gives them for your bike! very Important: they added 500 miles to mine to compensate from riding until the new gauge arrived. my miles are now 500 miles off on the gauge because i rode it 1012. there will be a sticker on the gauge itself advising of the change out.
More than you asked for but hope it helps> not sure why the difference in models of the gauges to set the miles though. hmmmmmm

Thanks guys, it did come with MoCo Mileage re-instated , and a sticker attached indicating the miles (sorry should have mentioned that in my OP), But good news according to you folks is that I do NOT have to hook it up to computer like I viewed on YOU Tube on another model "FatBob" which requires a tether hook up to computer before actual install.

Thanks, Scott

Nope, just plug it in and you're all set. I did a gauge change a couple of years ago. Went to black face gauges. Just plugged em in and all was good to go. Easy as can be.
