Default Handlebars for idiots

I will be doing bars at some point and wanted to get all the information needed on what I need, best products, methods etc. Yes I know there are a million threads on this. I have seen some and not really sure on plug and play, wiring, new clutch cable sizing, getting rid of the green connector etc. So obviously I need the bars in my case PYO MBB 10". I was going to look into braided cables what brands? I know that Hill Counrty Customs makes a plug and play but for $1200? What should all my materials cost me (ball park)

Thanks
Mike

As far as cables I have been through a few and highly recommend Magnum Shielding. They hold up really well without getting crappy looking.

I went with WO578 and just needed a clutch cable. The green plug is easy to come out and just sauter the wires together. I stayed with the black vinyl cable for the clutch. My total amount for the bars and cable was $280. But than as accessories you have to had new grips, and than you have to paint the inner fairing so total I spent $625 on everything with labor on my friend helping me.

I ordered Flanders bars, all new cables and wire extension kit. Since I have an 2001 EGC the cables need changing anyway.

I actually found some bars for my 'lil sporty at a swap meet. Didn't really care about brand, just found some I liked. I was able to "make" my wires and cables work but they are a little stretched so I'm looking for cables too. Think I'm going to attempt wiring internal. Any words of wisdom?
